bramvanoploo/omarchy-facelock is an Omarchy status bar plugin that installs, configures, and manages Facelock biometric face authentication.

From the bar it can detect whether facelock-bin or facelock is installed, offer install via yay -S facelock-bin, and launch facelock setup in Omarchy’s floating presentation terminal.

Enrollment and testing sit behind the same UI: facelock enroll, facelock test, model list/clear, live camera preview, and V4L2 device listing including IR capability.

Hyprlock integration can be toggled with facelock hyprlock enable / disable, and the plugin can add or remove face unlock for the Lock Screen Explorer path via /etc/pam.d/omarchy-lock-face. It also exposes config edit, daemon restart, TPM/status checks, and a full uninstall with PAM and face-model cleanup.

On machines without an IR camera (including Apple T2 MacBooks with RGB webcams), disabling require_ir automatically sets abort_if_ssh = false under [security] in /etc/facelock/config.toml so Lock Screen Explorer auth is not rejected.
