ThePrimeagen starts hooking Omarchy’s agentic QA up to nightly builds
Three weeks after taking over Agentic QA, ThePrimeagen shared a first progress report: the dashboard and job tracking are in place, the custom harness still needs speed, and the site stays private for now.

Omarchy’s agent-driven QA is about to meet real builds. In a post on X on October 19, 2026 titled “Big Omarchy QA News”, ThePrimeagen said that “Omarchy QA will start running against nightly every day,” adding that there are “still some huge hurdles to figure out, but that is the fun stuff.”
It is the first public progress report since he joined Omarchy Core to lead Agentic QA. In the September 26 announcement, DHH described a harness called Oligarchy that boots Omarchy in QEMU virtual machines and lets agents send keystrokes, click around and take screenshots to record whether things worked.
ThePrimeagen was upfront about the pace: “Omarchy QA is going slower than I hoped for, but its getting into place. This is my second fully running agent test harness where they decide what is good.” What is already in place, according to his post:
- a running dashboard with cancellable states;
- jobs, suites and servers with “all the possible states and transitions you would expect from build servers”, which he called the most surprising part because of how much thinking every possibility takes;
- a live-updating website for suite states, made fast with a cache, plus an idea to make it load instantly for every user;
- the ability to follow live running jobs and cancel them.
The piece that is not there yet is speed on the testing side. “The sad part is I have had no time to get the actual custom harness running fast, which is ok, but its hard,” he wrote. The next step is the one in the headline: “Now, starting today, I am going to be hooking up nightly builds and actually running this against production!”
Don’t go looking for the dashboard just yet. “Will think about how to make this a public site, but for now, its private,” he said.
DHH quoted the post the same day with a clear picture of what this replaces: “You wouldn’t believe the hours I spent manually testing and verifying Omarchy releases during the first year. With Prime’s stellar work leading the QA effort, we can finally replace all that toil with agents.” His reply puts the stakes plainly: if the nightly runs come together, release checks move from DHH’s hands to a swarm of agents.
