Omarchy meetups land in Baku and Austin on October 9

Two more community-run Omarchy meetups are on the calendar for Friday, October 9, 2026, both listed on the Omarchy meetups page. Like the others, they are organised by local users, not by the Omarchy team.

In Azerbaijan, Omarchy Baku: Tea && Compile runs from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM local time at CoffeeLea Ataturk, 65 A Atatürk prospekti, Baku. It is hosted by Rasul Gojayev and billed as the first Omarchy meetup in the city.

The Luma page promises “no talks, no agenda – just tea, laptops, and people who think the default desktop is a crime against good taste.” It welcomes anyone into Linux, open source or tiling window managers, including people who have never opened a terminal. The café’s one rule: everyone orders something.

Later that day in Texas, Omarchy Austin meets from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM local time at Bennu Coffee East, 2001 E MLK Blvd, Austin. The host, Kingmk3r, keeps the invitation short: “Bring your potatoes y’all. Best potato setup wins a door prize.”

Registration for both is on Luma, where it is worth checking for last-minute changes before heading out.
