Omarchy now speaks 50 languages, from the menu to the manual
A new language picker switches the menu, the desktop shell and notifications instantly, and the full manual is translated too.

Omarchy is going multilingual. A pull request from DHH, merged on October 14, 2026 into the quattro branch, makes Omarchy speak the same 50 languages as omarchy.org. English stays the default and the fallback for any missing string.
You pick a language under Setup > Language, which lists native names and is searchable by English name, or with omarchy language <code> in a terminal. According to the pull request, the menu, the Quickshell desktop and Omarchy’s own notifications switch immediately, with no restart. The system locale is set to match, so third-party apps follow at the next login.
It goes beyond menus. The pull request ships the full manual in every language, all 51 chapters each, with the same structure, links and code blocks as the English version. The fonts Omarchy already installs cover every script on the list, so nothing extra needs to be downloaded.
Danish was the pilot, checked live in the running shell. The pull request says the other languages were translated with one AI agent per language and then validated against the English source.
A follow-up merged on October 15, pull request #15508, polishes Japanese, Chinese and Korean setups. Picking one of those languages now also adds the matching input method when none is set, and the menu search finally accepts input-method typing.
Both changes are merged but not in a tagged release yet, so expect them in the next version of Omarchy.
