Omarchy Dragon is the official Snapdragon team

On September 18, 2026, DHH announced Omarchy Dragon: the official team making Omarchy run on Qualcomm Snapdragon computers.

It follows Omarchy M for Apple hardware. Dragon’s brief is thin-and-light Snapdragon laptops as dependable daily Linux machines—sleep, wake, efficient video, firmware updates, and a full workday of battery, not only a successful first boot.

Five people are already on real hardware. Jim Martin is bringing up a Surface Laptop 8 with Snapdragon X2 Elite, after Omarchy work on DGX Spark and an ARM installer disk-unlock fix.

Birk Skyum runs a Lenovo Yoga Slim 7x (Snapdragon X Elite) and is pushing on battery life, sleep, KVM, hardware-accelerated video, BIOS updates from Linux, and USB4, with Lenovo contact on firmware.

Matt Gilg already has Omarchy with Hyprland on Snapdragon X Yoga and DGX Spark gear, and is bringing up an OmniBook X16 (X2 Elite) with a gaming interest. Bob Prendergast tests an HP EliteBook 14 G1q and a ThinkPad T14s Gen 6. Miguel Cruz, also on Omarchy M, joins on an ASUS Zenbook A16 (X2 Elite Extreme) for boot, firmware, and GPU drivers.

DHH is also seeking a direct line to Qualcomm after a Linux-compatibility engineer there reached out. Packages and installer fixes can spill across ARM machines, including interest in Raspberry Pi later.

This is still work in progress, machine by machine. Dragon is the named team taking responsibility and testing on those devices—not a claim that every Snapdragon laptop is already a finished daily driver.
