Four Prado paintings become Omarchy themes in open site PRs
carloschida opened four pull requests on October 7 that would add Las Meninas and The Garden of Earthly Delights themes, each in a dark and a light version, to the omarchy.org gallery.
Two of the Prado’s most famous paintings are heading for Omarchy. On October 7, 2026, carloschida opened four pull requests on the omarchy.org site repository to add matching dark and light themes to the gallery.
PR #528 adds Las Meninas, a dark theme built from Diego Velázquez’s Las Meninas (1656). Its README pairs a near-black workshop background with warm parchment foregrounds and a terracotta accent sampled from the Infanta’s ribbons. It ships eight 4K 16:10 wallpapers cut from the Prado’s public-domain gigapixel scan, composed so faces and details stay visible on 16:9 screens, with text colours checked for WCAG contrast.
Its companion, PR #529, adds Las Meninas Light: an ivory palette with every accent sampled from the same painting, again tuned for WCAG contrast on the cream background, with the same eight wallpapers.
The other pair comes from Hieronymus Bosch’s Garden of Earthly Delights. PR #530 adds El jardín de las delicias (claro), a light theme from the Paradise and Garden panels, with eleven 4K crops. PR #531 adds El jardín de las delicias (oscuro), a dark theme from the Hell panel, with five 4K crops from the Bosch Research and Conservation Project scan.
You can install any of the themes directly from their GitHub repositories with omarchy theme install while the PRs are open. None of the four was merged at the time of writing, so they do not appear on the omarchy.org themes page yet.
