Omacom Foundation Secures $1.95M in AI Tokens from Meta, Anthropic, OpenAI, and Fireworks
Meta Superintelligence Labs joins as Founding Token Patron with $1.5 million in tokens; Anthropic, OpenAI, and Fireworks each add $150,000. Combined pledges push the Omacom Foundation to $14.95 million.
The Omacom Foundation just got the kind of fuel Omarchy was built to burn: tokens. On September 3, David Heinemeier Hansson (@dhh) — creator of Omarchy, co-owner and CTO of 37signals, and the force behind Ruby on Rails — announced that the foundation has locked in $1.95 million in AI tokens from four of the biggest labs in the industry. That takes total pledges to $14.95 million.
This is not another cash-patron round. It is a new track: Token Patrons, aimed squarely at the agentic workflow that already ships Omarchy. Quattro (v4.0.0), DHH writes, has been built almost exclusively by agents — bash, QML, Linux debugging, the works. The project now has hundreds of thousands of users and cocreators, plus a backlog of 1,600+ pull requests from just a few weeks after launch. Nobody clears that without agentic horsepower.
Meta leads as Founding Token Patron
Meta Superintelligence Labs comes in as a Founding Token Patron with $1.5 million in tokens. DHH highlights their new Meta Muse Spark model — strong numbers at a sharp price — and jokes that $1.5M is “basically unlimited tokens” (with a promise to try exhausting them anyway). Meta’s public pitch for personal superintelligence sits neatly next to Omarchy’s “malleable OS for the age of agents” line: put powerful models in users’ hands, not behind a central dole.
Anthropic, OpenAI, and Fireworks join the Distinguished tier
Two frontier labs land as Distinguished Token Patrons at $150,000 in tokens each:
- Anthropic (@AnthropicAI) — builders of Claude
- OpenAI (@OpenAI) — builders of GPT / Codex
DHH flags a concrete use case: pairing those grants with the security clearance needed to strip guardrails for security research and fixes.
On the open-weight side, Fireworks (@FireworksAI_HQ) also joins as a Distinguished Token Patron with $150,000 in tokens. Fireworks runs high-throughput inference for open models; DHH says he has been a frequent user of the Kimi K models, especially in fast mode, and will put those “speedy tokens” to work on Omarchy. Fireworks later posted a public congrats confirming the partnership.
