Omacom Foundation Adds Another Half Million — OpenRouter, PayWithFour, and ~500 Patrons Push Total to ~$15.5M

The Omacom Foundation just put another clean number on the board: roughly $510,000 more committed to beautiful, fun & agentic Linux, bringing pledges and donations to about $15.5 million. Primary source: Omacom Foundation raises another half a million dollars! (7 September 2026).

First up: OpenRouter joins as a Distinguished Corporate Patron with $150,000 in tokens, renewable by mutual agreement once that allotment is spent. Those tokens are meant to power the agents that build, test, and maintain Omarchy. The foundation also says it will route the millions of dollars in donated tokens through OpenRouter so the right models reach the right teams. OpenRouter amplified the same update on X: OpenRouter on Omarchy + sponsored tokens.

Next: Four Technologies (PayWithFour) joins as a Distinguished Corporate Patron at $100,000 a year for three years — $300,000 total — for community projects Omarchy depends on, infrastructure, and bringing Linux to more desktops. Their quote in the official post: the next stage for AI isn’t another app on top of the OS, it’s AI built into the OS, and that’s the bet Omarchy is making.

Since opening patronage to everyone, the foundation has also taken in roughly $60,000 from nearly 500 donors via open patronage. David Heinemeier Hansson — creator of Omarchy, co-owner and CTO of 37signals  posted the same stack on X: another $500k / ~$15.5M.
